Raynox DCR-250
  • DCR-250 Super Macro lens obtains the maximum macro magnification power when set at the most telephoto position of zoom lens.
  • Magnification 8-Diopter
  • The lens includes a snap-on universal mount suitable for 52mm to 67mm filter size.
  • Weight 60g.
  • Made in Japan

Compatible with countless popular digital cameras on the market, the DCR-250 Super Macro Lens is also light weight and easy to store.

The highly innovative snap-on universal mount, which is supplied together with the lens, allows the DCR-250 to be mounted directly to most popular digital cameras without the need to purchase an additional adapter. If a digital camera has an extendable zoom lens which moves while going from wide angle to telephoto mode, then a lens adapter is needed.

Unlike cheaper and inferior add-on lenses or close-up filters, the DCR-250 is not a single piece of glass, but a "TRIPLET" ACHROMATIC LENS! As a result, the images are much superior to close-up filters. It does not have niggling vignetting or dark corner problems in combination with most digital cameras on the market as long as the digital camera's lens diameter doesn't exceed 67mm. Thus users of the highly popular Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm and Panasonic prosumer models in Singapore/South East Asia will thoroughly enjoy photography with this lens!

The benefit of this lens for digital camera users is that you are able to take close-ups at a further distance away from the object than before AND possibly at a higher magnification. For example, your camera's nearest macro focusing distance is 1cm, but with this attached, you can possibly take a bigger and clearer close-up at 10cm or more! Great for those insect shots when you don't want to disturb the elusive creatures too much!

Good news for DSLR users, whether you are a Pro or a Beginner!!! No need to use lens bellow attachments which only result in significant light loss! Simply attach this lens to the standard lens kit or zoom lens, instead of buying expensive original macro DSLR lenses, if you have no qualms about shooting objects at a shorter focusing distance of around 11cm as compared to a conventional distance of 1 feet or 30cm for a standard DSLR macro lens. Or if you already have a dedicated macro lens such as the Tamron SP90, you can definitely enhance its performance by integrating the DCR-250 into the setup. It may require lots of practice before you start shooting great macro pictures, but the effort is definitely worth your time!
